Blackheath 7s Blitz 2023 Tournament Details

The Blitz(Tag7s) is now in it's 7th year with teams continuously increasing. Again, taking place at its iconic location, Blackheath, where the very first game of Rugby was played back in 1871 .

The date set is Saturday Sept 2nd with a full day of tag action and entertainment. As usual, a designated venue will be arranged for all to celebrate and socialise just what we like most.

No Saturday leagues will run on this day in Blackheath.

There will be exceptional prizes for winners and some FREEBIES!!!!

• The playing surface is grass
• 7 a side (max squad 12)
• League rules 4 male players (max. on pitch at any one time) 3 female 
•  Team Handicap may include a different male/female configuration(advertised)
• Captains responsibility to have all players registered avoiding disqualification(if in doubt get in touch in time for clarifications)
• All players must be registered for insurance purposes 
• Consumption of alcohol is prohibited until the tournament has concluded

• Please arrive 60 minutes before tournament kick-off
• Captains briefing will take place 30 minutes before kick-off, this is compulsory for all teams
• Kick-off will start as advertised unless advised otherwise

Tag 7s has recently partnered with TRugby.com to bring in a new and exciting element to this non contact sport. 

This is the first of it's kind in UK & Ireland providing a training program, skill, drills and improvement method. It also highlights those who have come up the ranks but not getting the recognition they deserve.

The talent has exceptionally jumped up a notch and in preparation for the next tag rugby world cup in 2023(Ireland) many are eager to begin in earnest to establish a structure/regime with the game.

The management respond in every corner, helping players find a place to feel welcome, situate them at the right level and apply a very shrewd entry fee, making it accessible to all.
